The Dragon Sanctuary

Cymbals is the baby of our family at 4 years old. She is a sweet and playful soul who loves to roll around with her giant beach ball. After seeing a picture book about the circus, she has also been trying to learn tricks like balancing it on her nose and balancing herself on top of it.

In addition to playing with her own toys, Cymbals likes to join in with Kara's dragon rugby games even though she doesn't really understand the rules. She also can't fly yet, which puts her at a disadvantage. She's been watching Snicket's flying lessons with great interest and is keen to join in.

Her species is mainly nocturnal and prefers the softer light of dawn and dusk to the bright light of daytime. We've set up Cymbals' habitat with dim lighting and a slightly cooler temperature to accomodate this.

Even though she's currently our smallest dragon, Mist Dragons grow to be very big indeed, which is why it's important that we find a way to return her to the dragon realm as soon as possible. The Fracture is quite small, only big enough for humans and quite young dragons to travel through. We hope to get Cymbals back to her home and family before she grows too big to pass through.

Cymbals shows a great talent for music, which is how one of our volutneers came up with her name. She can mimic any song or instrument that she hears. We always leave a radio playing music in part of her habitat and on the rare occasions she gets too tired to play, she likes to sit near it and sing along.
